The Indian cricket team is set to tour Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Test series, starting on November 22, with the first Test to be held in Perth. Former Indian cricketer and ex-coach of the Indian women's team, Venkataraman, has made a suggestion to the BCCI: he believes sending cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar to Australia as a batting consultant would be beneficial for Team India, given Tendulkar's expertise and experience in Australian conditions.
India faces a challenging task, especially after a recent 0-3 defeat to New Zealand at home, which has left them trailing in the race for a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. To secure a place, India must win the series 4-0. If they lose even one match, they will be dependent on the outcomes of other teams. The form of key players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma is also a concern, as both have struggled in recent Test matches.
