Rohit Sharma's Captaincy Record
Rohit Sharma has now led Team India to four bilateral ODI series clean sweeps, making him the first Indian captain to achieve this feat.
Under his leadership, India has whitewashed West Indies, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and now England.
Previously, both Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni had three clean sweeps each.
Over the past 14 years, India has recorded 12 ODI series clean sweeps, the most by any team. New Zealand follows with 10 clean sweeps.
Virat Kohli’s Milestone
Virat Kohli scored a half-century in the latest match, reaching 16,000 international runs in Asia.
He achieved this milestone in 340 innings, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar, who took 353 innings.
Shubman Gill’s Historic Feats
Gill became the first Indian player to score a century in all three formats at Narendra Modi Stadium.
He also became the fastest player to reach 2,500 ODI runs.
Additionally, he set a record for scoring seven ODI centuries in the fewest innings.
With this dominant performance, Team India continues to establish itself as a powerhouse in world cricket.
