Link Between Sperm Quality and Longevity?

A recent study has revealed a strong connection between sperm quality and life expectancy. Researchers found that men with higher sperm quality and motility tend to live, on average, three years longer than those with lower sperm quality.

Scientists from Copenhagen University Hospital (Denmark) conducted a comprehensive study over 50 years, analyzing data from 78,000 men. According to researcher Lærke Priskorn, "Men with a sperm count of over 120 million per milliliter lived 2.7 years longer than those with a sperm count of just 5 million."

The study also highlighted that men with lower sperm motility had an average life expectancy of 77.6 years, while those with higher motility lived up to 80.3 years. These findings suggest that reproductive health could be a significant indicator of overall longevity.
