Jagmeet Singh Warns Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s alleged remarks about incorporating Canada into the United States have drawn a strong response from Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada’s New Democratic Party (NDP).

“Our country is not for sale. Not now, not ever. Canada will remain independent. If you’re planning a fight, be prepared to pay the price. Should Trump impose tariffs on us, we’ll respond in kind,” Singh warned in a firm statement.

Singh’s comments highlight growing tensions following the controversial stance of the former U.S. President regarding Canada’s sovereignty.

The NDP, which previously allied with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government, has taken a clear stand against any perceived threat to Canada’s independence.
