If Hostages Are Released, the War Will End Tomorrow- Netanyahu

Israel has announced the death of Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas militant group, who was the mastermind behind the October 7, 2023, attacks. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made significant remarks, stating that the war could end tomorrow if Hamas releases the hostages. Addressing the citizens of Gaza, Netanyahu emphasized that if Hamas lays down its arms and returns the captives, the conflict will be over by tomorrow.

Netanyahu also mentioned that Hamas militants who release Israeli citizens would be given a chance to live freely, but if not, they would be hunted down and killed. He highlighted the killing of Sinwar as a major victory, but clarified that this is just the beginning of the end, not the conclusion of the war.

In response to Sinwar’s death, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris stated that justice had been served. She viewed this moment as a significant opportunity to bring the conflict with Gaza to an end. Harris further noted that Israel will remain secure, hostages will be freed, and the suffering in Gaza will cease. Sinwar had been the orchestrator of the deadly October 7 attacks, which killed 1,200 Israelis and saw 250 taken as hostages by Hamas militants.

Israel’s forces recently killed three Hamas militants in southern Gaza, one of whom was identified as Sinwar through DNA testing. However, Hamas has yet to issue a statement on this matter.
