Cyberattack on X: Elon Musk claims Ukraine's involvement

American tycoon and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk's popular social media platform, Twitter (now X), has recently been facing significant issues. Users have been encountering various problems, including login failures, disappearing tweets, and service disruptions. Since Monday, X services have been intermittently down, with users unable to access the site. Even when logged in, users have faced difficulties accessing content.

In response to these issues, Elon Musk revealed that a massive cyberattack had occurred on X. He mentioned that the disruption affected regions worldwide, with services being down three times in one day. Musk also claimed that Ukraine was behind the attack. He stated, "We are under cyberattack every day, but what happened now is a massive cyberattack. A large group or a country is behind this. We can't say for sure what's happening, but this is a large-scale cyberattack aimed at disrupting the X system. The IP addresses involved appear to be from the Ukraine region."

According to tracking site DownDetector, X services were disrupted three times on Monday alone. The first disruption occurred around 3 p.m., affecting many users. The service was restored briefly, only to go down again around 7:30 p.m., and then again at 9 p.m. This left users unable to refresh their feeds or upload posts.

The disruption impacted major countries such as the U.S., India, the UK, Australia, and Canada, with the problem being particularly severe in the U.S. and the UK. Around 40,000 users complained about the issue, with 52% reporting website-related problems, 41% citing app issues, and 8% experiencing server connection problems. Even today, disruptions continue, with users unable to refresh their feeds, although the site itself is still open.
