Opinion: Abu Dhabi Mandir Vs Ayodhya Masjid

Abu Dhabi's “Ahlan Modi” event witnessed a super hit speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He talked about the ongoing developments between India and UAE, highlighting the warm and friendly relations between the two nations.

Indian diaspora was well represented at His presence during the pre-inauguration of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, which is the first ever stone temple in West Asia as well as Abu Dhabi’s initial Hindu temple. An Indian sense of belonging was marked with this establishment being indicative of communal harmony exhibited by historical acceptance of a Hindu temple in a Muslim country under monarchy.

However, there is another twist to it. It is striking that the Prime Minister has been silent on the proposed largest Masjid located just 25 kilometers from Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He would have shared about it in this occasion.

The construction of this mosque is underway with the support of Yogi Adityanath's BJP-led Uttar Pradesh State Government in coordination with the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation. The mosque, named "Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah" after Prophet Muhammad, signifies religious harmony and cultural unity, echoing the ethos of independent India.

Looking back, Asaduddin Owaisi, a Lok Sabha MP, recently gave an alarming speech at Parliament accusing BJP government of marginalizing Indian Muslims while comparing them to Jews during Hitler’s time. It's the worst comparison with not a shred of factual basis.

Prime Minister Modi explaining him how well the Muslims are being treated in India responded emotionally, questioning "What has happened to you? How long will you keep thinking about divisions? How long will you keep dividing the society?".

But Modi didn't speak about the Ayodhya Masjid at this point, which would have been a direct response to Owaisi's remarks.

Despite the rhetoric of politicians like Owaisi, it's evident that Muslim nations are embracing Narendra Modi, and Indian Muslims are living peacefully in India.

Setting aside the restlessness of politicians like Owaisi, it can be concluded that Modi-led India is ascending to new heights economically, fostering peace and friendship internationally, and nurturing the lives of its citizens with welfare initiatives and a sense of pride.
