India Assures Cooperation for Taliban Government

India has initiated talks with the Taliban government, which has assumed power in Afghanistan.

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met Afghanistan's interim Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in Dubai.

India expressed its readiness to continue humanitarian aid to the Afghan people and to undertake development projects in the future.

Discussions also covered cricketing ties between the two nations and the utilization of the Chabahar Port.
