The INDIA alliance scheduled a partner meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday, with Sanjay Raut and Uddhav Thackeray attending from UBT Sena, which performed well in Maharashtra.
Raut questioned BJP's majority, suggesting Naidu and Kumar should not support those threatening democracy and the constitution.
INDIA leaders maintained suspense over their next steps. RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, after traveling to New Delhi with Nitish Kumar, advised to "wait and watch." Other opposition leaders, including Sharad Pawar, MK Stalin, Champai Soren, Akhilesh Yadav, Abhishek Banerjee, Sitaram Yechury, and D Raja, were also involved in the discussions.
Narendra Modi met President Droupadi Murmu, resigning along with his ministers before the new government forms.
The President accepted their resignation and asked them to continue until the new government takes office. Modi’s swearing-in for a third term is expected on June 8.
