Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at a rally in Kandhamal of Odisha ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
He predicted that Congress wouldn't win even 50 seats and wouldn't be considered the main opposition party after the elections.
Modi promised a strong government for Odisha and emphasized the BJP's achievements and said very high about Draupadi Murmu who is now the Honorable President of India, who hails from Odisha.
Modi also said baout the achievements of BJP government at the center including the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Pokhran test conducted by former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He thanked the people of Odisha for their support and assured them that the next chief minister would be a local who understands the language and culture of the state.
In the upcoming elections in Odisha, voting will take place in four phases starting from May 13. Out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats four will be contested on May 13.
In the previous elections the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won the majority of seats with BJP and Congress securing fewer seats.
