Modi Slams Congress For 'Ram Mandir' Politics

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the opposition for politicizing the Ram temple issue.

He questioned the Congress's absence from the temple's consecration ceremony in Ayodhya and accused them of using the issue for vote bank politics.

He indirectly criticized India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, for his stance on the Somnath Temple issue.

Modi expressed disappointment at the rejection of the invitation by Congress leaders for the temple's consecration ceremony, emphasizing the need to move beyond political divides for the greater good.

He lamented the polarization in Indian politics, exemplified by criticism he faced for wearing traditional attire in different regions.

The Prime Minister expressed concern over the prevalent hostility in political discourse and urged for a more inclusive and respectful approach.
