It is known that Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is running for BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections from Mandi.
During a visit to Lahaul & Spiti in Himachal Pradesh, Congress workers protested by showing black flags and chanting against her.
A video of the incident was shared on social media. Kangana, along with former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, addressed a public rally in Kaza. Himachal Pradesh will vote on June 1.
Kangana recently announced that she plans to leave Bollywood if she wins the election calling the film industry fake and superficial.
She described herself as passionate and creative, often taking on roles as a writer, director or producer when bored with acting.
On the work front Kangana's next film is 'Emergency', in which she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The film's release initially set for June 14 which has been postponed due to her political campaign commitments.
