How do you dismantle a formidable political machine like the BJP? Break it from within! This seems to be the latest stratagem employed by the INDIA alliance as the polling across the nation enters the final leg.
It was Arvind Kejriwal who set the ball rolling with his assertion that Modi and Amit Shah would soon get rid of Yogi Adityanath.
Stating that the RSS was not fighting this election and there was a serious rift between the RSS and BJP, Kejriwal said there was a succession war within the Sangh Parivar.
Now, Sanjay Raut of the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiva Sena has taken this a notch further by stating that Amit Shah, Modi and Devendra Fadnavis had actually worked to defeat Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur.
“Devendra Fadnavis campaigned for Gadkari unwillingly only after he realized that Gadkari could not be defeated,” said Sanjay Raut.
For the record, Gadkari, a staunch RSS man is tipped as a potential successor to Modi. Raut also reiterated the fact that Yogi Adityanath was out of favour with Modi and Shah.
Repeat something enough number of times and it becomes the truth. This new approach by the INDIA alliance seems to be their best bet, yet, for it is psychological in nature.
