Arun Govil Brings 'Ram' Rajya In Meerut?

Actor Arun Govil who is renowned for portraying Lord Ram in the 'Ramayan' TV series, disclosed his financial assets in an election affidavit as he runs for office under the BJP banner in Meerut. 

His movable assets exceed Rs 3.19 crore, including a Mercedes valued at Rs 62.99 lakh, while his wife Shrilekha's assets total over Rs 2.76 crore.

Immovable assets amount to over Rs 5.67 crore for Govil and Rs 2.80 crore for his wife. He holds a car loan of over Rs 14.64 lakh and has no registered firearms. Govil declared a clean legal record.

Cash holdings include Rs 3.75 lakh for Govil and Rs 4.07 lakh for his wife, while they collectively hold over Rs 1.83 crore in bank accounts.

Their investments include shares, mutual funds, and jewelry. Govil owns land in Pune, and his wife owns a Mumbai flat. 

Born in Meerut, Govil completed his education locally before pursuing BSc from a Shahjahanpur college in 1972. 

He submitted his nomination as the BJP candidate for Meerut

Polling in Meerut is slated for April 26. We have to see if 'Ram Rajya' is on cards for Meerut.
