A woman named Aparna Thakur from Lucknow accused actor cum politician Ravi Kishan of not acknowledging their daughter from her second marriage, which is now a social media topic.
Following this, Ravi Kishan's wife Preeti Shukla lodged an FIR against Aparna, claiming she demanded a large sum of money to the tune of Rs 20 cr, threatened them, and mentioned connections with criminals.
Aparna who has two adult children stated in a press conference that she wants Ravi Kishan to acknowledge their daughter. She also opened up her intention to take legal action but stressed she doesn't want to involve the police to avoid harming Ravi Kishan.
She also shared details of her marriage to Ravi Kishan, alleging they married in 1996 and demanded he either adopt or acknowledge their daughter.
Despite attempts to reach Kishan for comment he was unavailable due to election commitments. Aparna's daughter also appealed to the Chief Minister for recognition and rights.
Ravi Kishan is now a BJP candidate contesting for Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpaur MP seat.
