Yogi Adityanath Warns Against Religious Disrespect

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that derogatory remarks against deities, saints, or figures of any religion are unacceptable and will be strictly punished. His comments follow Dasna temple priest Yati Narsinghanand's controversial remarks about Prophet Muhammad.

Adityanath emphasized that all faiths must be respected and citizens should not be forced to revere anyone but should show respect voluntarily. He warned against anarchy or vandalism during protests, stating that violators will face consequences.

The Chief Minister reviewed law and order with officials and urged them to ensure peaceful celebrations of upcoming festivals. He called for strict action against those who disrupt harmony. Narsinghanand along with his disciples faces FIRs for making derogatory comments about a community with calls from Muslim organizations and political leaders for his arrest. Adityanath stressed the importance of maintaining order and religious respect across all communities.
