Woman Constable Arrested with Drugs in Vehicle, Dismissed from Service

A woman police constable was arrested after being caught with drugs in her personal vehicle during a police inspection. She was immediately dismissed from her service, and an investigation into her assets has been initiated. This incident occurred in Bhatinda, Punjab, where the state authorities have been conducting a special drive against drugs.

The woman constable, Amandeep Kaur, was suspected of smuggling drugs in her vehicle. Acting on a tip-off, the police and Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) officers intercepted her vehicle near the Badal flyover in Bhatinda. Upon searching the vehicle, they found 17.71 grams of heroin hidden near the gear box. As a result, Amandeep Kaur was arrested, and according to the rules, she was dismissed from her police job.

Additionally, the police found that Amandeep Kaur owned a Mahindra Thar, an Audi, two Innova cars, a Bullet bike, a luxury house worth two crores, and other expensive items. Investigations are now underway to determine whether she purchased these assets through drug smuggling. Authorities are also looking into whether any officials helped her in the illegal drug trafficking activities.
