Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only one who hugged both Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy in the same year. It is known that both Russia and Ukraine have been at war.
As a peacemaker, Modi has been trying to pacify the situation between the two. After the latest meeting with Zelenskyy, Modi made a public statement on social media.
PM Modi posted, "Spoke with President Putin today. Discussed measures to further strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. Exchanged perspectives on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and my insights from the recent visit to Ukraine. Reiterated India’s firm commitment to support an early, abiding, and peaceful resolution of the conflict."
If Modi becomes successful in establishing peace between the two nations, then he could be recommended for the Nobel Peace Prize for sure.
