What’s that? The groom becomes the priest! This guy is super!

In a recent wedding in Uttar Pradesh, the groom played an unexpected role—he took on the duties of the priest! Typically, during Hindu weddings, a priest conducts the ceremonies while the bride and groom follow the rituals.

However, in this case, the groom, Vivek Kumar, not only participated in the wedding but also recited the Vedic mantras himself, with the guidance of another priest. This unexpected twist has caught the attention of many.

The wedding took place in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, where Vivek Kumar, from Rampur, Saharanpur district, was marrying the daughter of Anil Kumar from Kunjha Bahadurpur village. During the wedding, after exchanging garlands and performing rituals like the Homa and taking rounds, Vivek Kumar informed the priest that he would perform the religious rituals and chant the Vedic mantras himself. The groom’s deep knowledge of the rituals was praised by the attendees, with many applauding his confidence and devotion to the religious practices.

Vivek explained that he had always believed in the significance of these rituals and had learned to chant the mantras over time. His unique approach has turned his wedding into a topic of conversation in the surrounding areas, making it a remarkable and memorable event.
