Voting Begins in Haryana for 90 Assembly Seats

Voting has commenced in Haryana across its 22 districts for 90 assembly seats, starting at 7 AM and continuing until 6 PM. The results are set to be declared on October 8. A total of 20.3 million voters are eligible to vote, including 10.7 million men and 9.5 million women.

Central Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was among the first to cast his vote at his polling booth in Karnal. Olympic medalist and shooter Manu Bhaker also voted in Jhajjar, sharing her excitement about casting her vote for the first time. Meanwhile, technical issues caused delays in voting in Sonipat and Panchkula due to malfunctioning EVM machines.

Caretaker Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini cast his vote after offering prayers at a Gurdwara. Voting continues to take place across the state despite some early hiccups.
