Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his greetings on World Tourism Day emphasizing India's spiritual and religious traditions as key attractions for global tourists. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership highlighting that Uttar Pradesh welcomed over 46 crore tourists last year visiting sites related to religious, spiritual, eco and heritage tourism.
CM Yogi stressed that tourism not only boosts the state's visibility but also plays a significant role in generating employment. He also spoke about the state's strong infrastructure particularly its quality connectivity through roads, trains, air and waterways.
Looking ahead he mentioned the upcoming Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 expected to attract 40 crore devotees worldwide. He reiterated the importance of such events in enhancing tourism. World Tourism Day is celebrated annually on September 27, both in India and globally to promote the significance of tourism.
