UP Minister Suspects Life Threat

Uttar Pradesh minister Ashish Singh Patel alleged threats to his life from the state police STF and a conspiracy behind accusations of irregularities in his technical education department. Pallavi Patel, an SP MLA, accused the department of bypassing rules for promotions, calling it a scam. Protesting in the assembly, she alleged favoritism towards senior officials.

Patel denied the allegations, stating promotions were discussed at all levels, including the Chief Minister’s Office, and questioned why only he was being targeted. He claimed the accusations were a political conspiracy aimed at suppressing social justice efforts, benefiting OBCs and deprived classes.

Patel offered to undergo investigations into his and his wife’s assets to prove his integrity, suggesting that all officials involved in the promotion process should be scrutinized if necessary. He linked the controversy to resistance against empowering marginalized communities.
