TTD: Devotees Reach Temple Entrance Wearing Footwear

Another instance of disrespect has occurred at the world-famous Tirumala Srivari Temple, once again putting TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) under scrutiny. With a series of such incidents coming to light, devotees are expressing deep anguish over the growing lapses in temple security and protocol.

As per temple rules, footwear is strictly prohibited inside the Tirumala temple premises. However, in a shocking breach, three devotees attempted to enter the temple from the Vaikuntham Queue Complex while still wearing their footwear. They managed to reach up to the main entrance of the temple, raising serious concerns about the security setup.

There are usually multiple vigilance checks before devotees reach the sanctum, yet none of the TTD vigilance or security staff stopped them until they reached the Mahadwaram (main temple entrance). This alarming oversight has left many devotees baffled and outraged.

The three devotees were finally stopped by security personnel at the Mahadwaram, where they were asked to remove their footwear before being allowed inside. A video capturing the devotees removing their shoes outside the entrance has gone viral on social media.

The incident has led to widespread criticism of the TTD administration, with many netizens questioning the temple’s security and vigilance standards. Devotees are demanding stricter enforcement of rules to protect the sanctity of the sacred temple.
