Trump's Interesting Comments on India

U.S. President Donald Trump made some interesting remarks regarding India. Recently, the United States halted a $21 million aid it was providing to India to increase voter turnout in elections. This decision was finalized on Tuesday, February 18, when Trump signed the related documents.

Speaking about India, Trump said, "Why should we give $21 million in aid to India? They have a lot of money. They impose heavy taxes on the U.S. I respect India and its Prime Minister, but..." He also mentioned that starting from April 2, the U.S. would impose a 25% tariff on vehicles imported from India.

Following Prime Minister Modi's visit to the U.S., the Department of Government Efficiency (DGOE), led by billionaire Elon Musk, decided to halt the aid to India. This move was part of the broader decision by the U.S. government to cut expenses, including aid to countries like India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
