The individual who demanded Rs 5 crore from Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, claiming to be a mediator to settle the actor's conflict with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has now apologized. The person admitted that the threatening message was sent by mistake. Mumbai Traffic Police received another message from the same number that had issued the earlier threat, with the sender apologizing for the error.
The location of the individual has been traced to Jharkhand, and the police are actively working to apprehend them. Initially, the person claimed to be closely associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and said they could broker peace between the gang and Khan.
What Happened on October 18?
On October 18, Mumbai Traffic Police received a WhatsApp message demanding Rs 5 crore from Salman Khan. The message warned that if the actor failed to pay, he would face a worse fate than NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. This threat came just days after Siddiqui's tragic death, prompting authorities to heighten Khan's security.
Increased Security for Salman Khan
In response to ongoing threats, Salman Khan has been given Y+ security, and security has been beefed up around his Bandra home and Panvel farmhouse. Mumbai Police have also installed AI-powered, high-resolution CCTV cameras with facial recognition technology to enhance protection.
Baba Siddiqui's Murder Case
Former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside his son's office in Bandra on the evening of Dussehra. Ten suspects have been arrested so far in connection with the murder.
Salman Khan's Response
In his first public comment since the death of his close friend Baba Siddiqui, Salman Khan acknowledged the difficult phase he is going through in his personal life. He mentioned this during his appearance on *Bigg Boss 18*, saying, "I swear by God, given what I am going through in my personal life, I didn't feel like coming here today. But you have to do what you have to do."
