Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has expressed concerns over alleged threats against those opposing the government including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Raut claimed a conspiracy is being orchestrated abroad to target dissenters aiming to safeguard democracy in India.
Highlighting the potential dangers he warned of possible attacks on Gandhi and other leaders.
He posted on X, " Not just Rahul Gandhi but all those who are raising their voices against govt to save the democracy, a conspiracy is being hatched against all of them. This conspiracy is being hatched in a foreign land...anything can happen, there could be attack on all of us, there could be attack on Rahul Gandhi. Because, the way, in the last month, we all, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, have taken on the govt, they have lost their sleep".
These comments reflect a broader apprehension within the opposition regarding the safety and security of its members as they intensify their efforts against the government.
As political dynamics become increasingly contentious Raut's statements call for vigilance and protection for leaders who advocate for democratic principles and government accountability.
