The BJP has been the party of the North as per the opinion of many. History has proved that the party couldn't make its impact felt in the South except in Karnataka earlier.
The remaining states of South India, right from Telangana, AP, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, have never been strongholds of the saffron party.
But this time, the surveys say that BJP is going to give surprises from the down south by winning a considerable number of seats in the Lok Sabha.
India TV-CNX Opinion Poll says that the BJP would sweep Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Rajasthan. And not stopping there, it is also going to win considerable seats in the South.
As per the prediction of the above-mentioned survey, Modi-led NDA may win 38 out of a total of 130 Lok Sabha seats in the Southern states, including Puducherry. The survey also says that NDA is likely to get 5 out of a total of 39 seats.
In Congress-ruled Karnataka, BJP may win 22 out of 28 seats. But the party is not going to open any account in Andhra Pradesh as it is predicted that YSRCP would win 15 and TDP-Janasena alliance would bag 10.
Even in the Congress-ruled Telangana, out of the 17 seats, BJP is likely to win 5 seats.
Coming to Kerala, it is a surprise to see the wave for NDA, which may win 3 seats out of the 20, as a record.
So the South is going to see the color of saffron this time except in AP. Indeed, whatever the number of seats won between YSRCP and TDP-Janasena alliance in the state, it is said that all the 25 seats stand in support of the BJP owing to the present political situation. That way indirectly BJP is owning all the 25 seats of this state, which is a never-before phenomenon.
