Stampede at Maha Kumbh Mela: Over 50 Injured

A tragic incident occurred at the Maha Kumbh Mela during the Mouni Amavasya holy bath. A massive crowd of devotees gathered at the Sangam in Prayagraj for the sacred Amrit Snan. Due to heavy footfall, barricades collapsed, leading to a stampede. Over 50 devotees sustained serious injuries.

Authorities responded immediately, rushing the injured to Sector 2 Hospital in ambulances. Further details about the incident are yet to be revealed.

Mouni Amavasya has drawn an enormous number of devotees to the Maha Kumbh Mela, filling Prayagraj with pilgrims. Officials estimate that over one crore people will take the Amrit Snan today. A special 12-kilometer-long ghat has been set up at the Triveni Sangam to accommodate the devotees.
