SP MP Fined Rs 2 Crore for Power Theft

Samajwadi Party leader and Sambhal MP, Jaya Ur Bark, has been fined Rs 2 crore by the Uttar Pradesh government for power theft.

Authorities reported that two electricity meters at his residence were tampered with, leading to unauthorized usage. A 2KW connection was found to be carrying a 16.15KW load.

Furthermore, it was noted that no electricity bills had been generated for six months.

The government is actively addressing power theft in Sambhal by removing illegal constructions and identifying instances of electricity theft. Smart meters are being installed with the assistance of police to prevent such activities.
