A BJP leader from Madhya Pradesh stirred controversy by saying the RSS instructed him to join the Congress party before the state elections as part of a plan.
This leader, Ramkishore Shukla, known as Bhaiya Ji, switched to Congress but lost in the last elections and recently returned to the BJP.
Shukla claimed that he was directed by a senior RSS member to join Congress to help BJP's chances. He mentioned Abhishek Udeniya who is a VHP official as the person who sent him to Congress.
But BJP MLA Usha Babu Singh Thakur denied these claims stating that Shukla left the party on his own and expressed sadness about it.
Shukla's move made the election competition tougher in Mhow. Usha Babu Singh Thakur, the BJP candidate, won, while an independent candidate, Antar Singh Darbar, got significant votes as well.
Shukla's revelation has sparked debates about political strategies and alliances within the state.
