Shivaji Statue Near China Border Unveiled by Indian Army

The Indian Army has unveiled a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Eastern Ladakh sector. The statue, installed at an altitude of 14,300 feet on the shores of Pangong Tso Lake, was inaugurated on Thursday by Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla.

The 14 Corps unit in Leh praised Shivaji's legacy, calling him an enduring symbol of courage, vision, and unwavering justice.

This comes shortly after India and China withdrew their troops from the last remaining flashpoints at Demchok and Depsang, marking the end of over four years of military tensions between the two nations.
