A horrific incident occurred in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. A young man, who had turned into a psychopath, unleashed a massacre. He brutally killed his lover along with her family members. This incident has caused a massive uproar in the local community. Later, the accused, Afan (23), went to the Venjaramoodu Police Station and confessed to killing six people. After his confession, he consumed poison and collapsed. The police then rushed him to the hospital.
Afan, the young man, was in love with a girl. However, for reasons still unclear, Afan attacked and killed his lover’s family members, who lived in three different locations, using a hammer and a knife. Shockingly, it is also reported that the accused attacked his own mother, who is a cancer patient. She is currently recovering in the hospital with severe injuries. The police have confirmed the deaths of Afan’s lover, Farhana, her brother Ahsan, grandmother Salma Bivi, uncle Latif, and aunt Shahida. Two police stations have registered three cases against the accused.
During interrogation, Afan told the police that he killed them because his lover’s family did not help him financially despite knowing that he was drowning in debt. The police believe that financial reasons were the primary motive behind this mass murder. Afan, who was involved in Gulf business, suffered heavy losses, leading to mounting debts. The lack of financial support from his lover’s family is believed to have triggered this brutal act. The police have registered the case and are conducting further investigations, including analyzing Afan’s mobile phone for more clues.
