Samsung offers up to $1 million to security researchers who identify major vulnerabilities in its mobile operating system through its Mobile Security Program.
The top reward targets those who can hack the latest Knox Vault, Samsung's secure environment for storing sensitive data. Additionally rewards range from $30,000 to $400,000 for exploits involving device unlocking remote code execution and unauthorized app installations.
To be eligible researchers must submit exploits that work on the latest Galaxy Z and S series devices, without requiring elevated privileges. Since the program’s launch in 2017 Samsung has paid nearly $5 million in bounties. Ethical hackers must include the prefix in their report titles when participating.
This initiative offers a substantial financial incentive for identifying critical security flaws, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking significant rewards without the need for traditional hard work.
