RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed concern over the rise of temple-mosque disputes in India, warning that some individuals are trying to position themselves as "Hindu leaders" by stirring up such conflicts, particularly after the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
In a lecture on "India- The Vishwaguru" in Pune, Bhagwat emphasized the need for an inclusive society, stating that India must demonstrate its ability to live in harmony.
He condemned the daily emergence of new disputes, urging that such actions must stop. He added that after the Ram Temple's completion, some people are using these issues to gain prominence, which is unacceptable.
Bhagwat's comments come amid rising demands for surveys of mosques to uncover underlying temples, prompting the Supreme Court to issue a directive on December 12 to halt such actions.
Bhagwat also mentioned that some external groups seek to return to old forms of rule.
