Ratan Tata's Love Story: Fell in Love 4 Times, But Never Married

The renowned Indian industrialist and philanthropist, Ratan Tata, fell in love four times but never married. At the age of 86, he passed away on Wednesday after being admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Despite his exceptional contributions to business and philanthropy, Tata's personal life has also been a subject of interest, particularly his decision to remain unmarried.

In an old interview with CNN, Ratan Tata revealed that he came close to marriage on several occasions. One of the most serious instances occurred while he was living in the U.S. during the early 1960s. However, the 1962 India-China conflict changed everything. He was set to marry someone in the U.S., but after returning to India, circumstances shifted, and the marriage did not happen. His fiancée eventually married someone else in the U.S.

Ratan Tata also had a relationship with actress and talk show host Simi Garewal, who, in a 2011 interview with *The Times of India*, acknowledged dating him. She described him as a gentleman with a great sense of humor, humility, and perfection, noting that money was never his driving force. Despite their romantic involvement not leading to marriage, the two remained close friends.
