Rahul Gandhi's Demand for Adani's Arrest:

During a press conference today, Rahul Gandhi made a strong demand for the arrest of businessman Gautam Adani. Gandhi accused Adani of being involved in a Rs 2,000 crore scam and said that despite the severity of the allegations, Adani remains free because Prime Minister Narendra Modi is protecting him. Gandhi pointed out the disparity between the treatment of politicians and business tycoons, saying, "A Chief Minister is jailed for allegations of Rs 10-15 crore, but Adani is free despite being involved in a Rs 2,000 crore scam."

Gandhi also referenced Modi’s slogan of "one is safe if they are together," asserting that Adani and Modi are inseparable in the context of corruption. He accused Modi of shielding Adani and being complicit in corruption. Gandhi expressed disbelief at how Adani continues to operate freely in India, especially after allegations of fraud involving American investors and bribery related to solar project contracts in the Indian subcontinent.

In his statement, Gandhi demanded that Adani be arrested, and he also called for the removal of Madhuri Buch, who is allegedly involved in manipulating Adani's stock prices. Gandhi emphasized that if Adani is operating legally, there should be no issue, but if there are irregularities, a proper investigation should be launched.

The allegations against Adani involve bribery of government officials to secure multi-billion dollar contracts and financing for solar energy projects, with Adani and others accused of planning to pay bribes amounting to $26.5 million.
