At a Kerala rally, Rahul Gandhi recounted attending a Kathakali performance with his mother Sonia and grandmother Indira Gandhi as a child, not understanding it and wanting to leave.
Last year he saw another performance and this time with a lady explaining the dance's meaning, making the three hour event deeply engaging.
Initially, it was just about the dance, but later he appreciated the history and emotions behind it, he shared.
Rahul also said that he didn't feel it was three hours long and was thoroughly immersed in the art form despite the heat in the atmosphere.
In this way, he is winning the hearts of Keralites with his words. Of course, he represents the Wayanad constituency and has a huge following in the state. He is in the process of building his Congress empire in the Malabar region.
