Purse Theft That Earned Thousands

Purse Theft That Earned Thousands

Many people believe that by taking a dip in the Kumbh Mela, their sins are washed away. However, contrary to this belief, some individuals take advantage of the crowd to indulge in thefts, accumulating their own "sins." One such person, who visited the town of Brindavan in Mathura and then came to the Kumbh Mela, had an unfortunate experience. While amidst the crowd, his purse was stolen. The purse contained cash and important documents, which left him distressed. He began to wonder how he would return home.

With no money in his pocket, he thought of a creative solution. He shared his situation with a few devotees present and asked for some help. With the money they gave him, he bought tea and started selling it. Through this, he managed to earn Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 a day, accumulating Rs 50,000 over time.

Though he lost his purse, he found a new means of livelihood. Preferring to remain anonymous, he spoke to the media, saying, "I came to take a holy dip in the Maha Kumbh Mela from Brindavan. During this time, someone stole my purse. Not knowing what to do, I decided to sell tea to earn some money. Day and night, I sold tea to the devotees who came here. I earned up to Rs 3,000 a day and have saved Rs 50,000 so far."
