Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge made sharp remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating, “Religious devotion may lead to self-purification, but political devotion paves the way for dictatorship. He is ready to become a dictator.”
Speaking during a debate on the Constitution, Kharge criticized Modi for misleading people by claiming that Jawaharlal Nehru attempted constitutional amendments between 1947-52 when there was no elected government in place. Kharge accused Modi of being a “master of lies” and said his statements distort historical facts.
This fiery criticism highlights the ongoing political tensions between the Congress and the BJP.
