PM Modi Praises ‘The Sabarmati Report’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other parliamentarians will attend a special screening of The Sabarmati Report today at the Parliament Complex. Starring Vikrant Massey, the film explores the 2002 Godhra train tragedy and has sparked political interest, especially within the BJP.

PM Modi lauded the film for “revealing the truth” behind the incident and criticized “fake narratives” surrounding it. Sharing the trailer on X, he emphasized that facts inevitably prevail over misinformation.

The movie has been declared tax-free in seven BJP-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath made the announcement after a special screening in Lucknow, attended by the film’s cast. Actor Vikrant Massey expressed gratitude to the government, urging audiences to watch the impactful film.

Directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Ektaa Kapoor, the movie also features Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra.
