As reported earlier, a brutal terror attack took place in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The terrorists suddenly appeared from the forest and opened indiscriminate fire on tourists enjoying the scenic beauty of the Baisaran area, popularly known as “Mini Switzerland.” They spared women and children but shot at all the men in sight. Around 28 tourists lost their lives in the horrifying incident.
Security agencies have launched an intense manhunt for the perpetrators. As part of the investigation, agencies have now released sketches of the three terrorists involved in the attack to help identify and apprehend them.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Kashmir Valley today. He paid tribute to the victims in Srinagar and met with the grieving families, assuring them of all possible support. He also visited the site of the attack.
The Jammu & Kashmir administration has announced compensation for the victims: Rs 10 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh for those seriously injured.
