OYO has made a sensational decision to no longer provide rooms for unmarried couples. The company has introduced significant changes to its check-in policy.
From now on, couples wishing to book a room at OYO will need to present valid ID proofs of their marriage. Whether booking online or offline, they will be required to submit ID proofs that confirm their relationship. If valid ID proofs are not provided, bookings will be rejected, as per OYO's instructions to its partner hotels.
This new policy will be initially tested in Meerut, and based on the feedback received, it will be implemented in other cities.
