A horrific incident took place in the Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh on Valentine's Day, where a young woman was brutally attacked by a stalker. The victim, identified as Gautami (23), a resident of Pyarampalle in Gurramkonda mandal, was assaulted by a man named Ganesh, who allegedly threw acid on her and stabbed her with a knife. The attack left her severely injured, and she was immediately rushed to the government hospital in Madanapalle for treatment.
According to reports, Gautami had recently gotten engaged and was set to marry a man named Srikant on April 29. The accused, Ganesh, reportedly became enraged upon learning about her upcoming marriage and carried out the attack out of jealousy. Gautami, who runs a beauty parlor on Kadiri Road in Madanapalle, had completed her degree from a private college in the town.
The police have identified the accused as a resident of Ammacheruvumitta in Madanapalle. Meanwhile, a judge visited Gautami in the hospital to record her statement regarding the incident. Further details about the case are awaited as the investigation continues.
