An exam center in Chandigarh, set up for two students to retake their NEET-UG exam, shut down after neither student showed up.
The re-exam, organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for 1,563 students who received grace marks, was scheduled from 2 pm to 5:20 pm.
Despite full arrangements including police presence, the center closed its gates at 1:30 pm due to the no shows.
This retest follows suspicions of irregularities after an unprecedented 67 students scored perfect marks in the initial NEET-UG with six from a single center in Faridabad.
NEET-UG is an entrance exam for medical and related courses saw 24 lakh candidates in May. Allegations of question paper leaks, especially in Bihar, have led to protests and legal actions.
Consequently, NTA Director General Subodh Singh was replaced and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is now probing the irregularities.
Additionally the Union education ministry has formed a seven member panel to review NTA's operations and suggest reforms.
