Popular ride-sharing app Uber is under fire online after allegations of a new scam. A tweet by a netizen claiming that Uber determines trip fares based on mobile battery percentage has gone viral.
The user conducted an experiment by checking Uber fares for the same location using four mobiles with different battery percentages.
The result? The phone with a lower battery showed higher fares, while the fully charged phone displayed lower fares.
Have you ever noticed this kind of discrepancy?
