Incidents of student suicides continue in Kota, Rajasthan, a city renowned for coaching institutes preparing students for higher education and competitive exams. While academic pressure has been a major concern, police suggest that the latest case may not be linked to it.
A student named Ankush Meena from Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan was preparing for the NEET exam and was undergoing coaching at an institute in Kota. According to police reports, he recently died by suicide. However, preliminary investigations indicate that study pressure might not be the reason behind his death. Instead, personal issues may have driven him to take this extreme step.
The student’s body has been sent for post-mortem, and police have registered a case to conduct further investigation.
