Many More Kendriya Vidyalayas In Entire India

The Cabinet has approved the establishment of 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across India, a move hailed by PM Narendra Modi as a step towards making education more accessible and creating employment opportunities.

These schools will accommodate around 82,560 students and provide 5,388 permanent jobs, with additional employment generated through construction and related activities. One existing KV in Shivamogga, Karnataka, will also be expanded to meet the needs of Central Government employees. The project, costing approximately Rs. 5,872.08 crore over eight years (2025-26 onward), includes capital and operational expenses.

Currently, 1,256 KVs serve 13.56 lakh students, including three international branches in Moscow, Kathmandu, and Tehran.

Each full-fledged KV employs 63 staff and accommodates around 960 students. This initiative aims to enhance educational infrastructure while boosting job creation and economic activity through both direct employment and construction efforts.
