Maharashtra: Uddhav Sena Surprisingly Praises Fadnavis

In a rare move, Uddhav Sena praised Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis for his efforts to eliminate Maoists in Gadchiroli but denied warming up to the BJP, their former ally of 25 years. Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut clarified that the party recognizes good work regardless of political rivalry and remains firmly in opposition.

The Sena lauded Fadnavis’ vision to develop Gadchiroli into a “steel city” while criticizing Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, whom they consider their primary adversary for splitting the Sena in 2022. Despite past criticism of Fadnavis, the Sena views him as more capable compared to Shinde.

Raut emphasized the party’s stance of praising commendable governance while opposing unfair power grabs. He also noted the surrender of 11 Naxals as a proud achievement for Maharashtra. The Sena maintains its opposition role but acknowledges effective leadership when deserved.
