Maharashtra Politics: Boycotting Tea Party

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) opposition alliance boycotted Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's tea party on Wednesday criticizing the government for neglecting public issues.

Shiv Sena leader Ambadas Danve and Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar announced the boycott ahead of the monsoon session of the state legislature which runs from June 27 to July 12 in Mumbai.

During this session, the ruling Mahayuti alliance will present the state budget on June 28.

This session is significant as it precedes the state assembly polls scheduled for September-October.
