In Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh, millions of devotees are flocking to the Kumbh Mela held at the Sangam bank. In this context, opposition leaders in the state have raised several challenges to the government. In response, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the issues. He stated that the Mahakumbh is attracting the attention of the entire world, with millions of people coming, and that many are also visiting Prayagraj, Kashi, and Ayodhya as part of the event.
While participating in the "Youth Industrialists’ Interaction" program, CM Yogi Adityanath responded to the criticisms regarding the Mahakumbh Mela. He emphasized that the large-scale event is generating significant revenue for the state. The state and central governments together are spending Rs. 7,500 crores for the organization of the Mahakumbh Mela. As a result, the expected revenue for the state is projected to exceed Rs. 3 lakh crores.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that several facilities have been provided at places like Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Kashi, Chitrakoot, Gorakhpur, and Naimisharanya in connection with the Kumbh Mela. Within a single year, Ayodhya alone has received Rs. 700 crores in donations and gifts. By February 17, a total of 54 crore 31 lakh people have taken a holy dip at the Mahakumbh. The Mahakumbh Mela will continue until February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
